3-year warranties are for bargain builds. And then you get the EVGA, Seasonic, Corsiar top brands for 550W bargain units. 3-year warranties shouldn't exist for 750W+, IMO, because they system's they're designed for cost over $1k anyways.

i got a higher-end evga power supply in a microcenter bundle, it had unbearable coil whine, mc refused to exchange it even tho it was within 30 days, so i had to deal with evga.
evga did an exchange all right, but it was for a much older power model that was lacking features like an eco mode; when the box arrived at the house it had a huge hole punched in the side... mc + evga = nightmare
Not many people can use 1000W.
