CRUXGG is a trash brand. Cheap plastic crap that's designed to break in 12-24 months. There's a reason you don't see these in any stores other than Target. It's comparable to Walmart's Makers Mark brand but fancier looking.

Had another 15% off in my Target Circle. Combined with the 5% Red Card discount brought the air fryer down to under $30.

Searching for a top of the line toaster, any recommendations? My old KitchenAid was good, not perfect, but the new ones we bought recently were total junk.
Wherever there are people with big wallets, there are manufacturers with products ready to dip into them. A google search for top of the line toasters should yield an array of options for you. Williams and Sonoma probably has options.

I have the dual sided version of the air fryer and am not a fan. Got it to replace a single side ninja and was very disappointed in its performance.
Thanks for your post. I've been using a Ninja for 3 years and love it. The only thing that faded was the non-stick ceramic crisper tray, so I just use a stainless steel tray from my Instand Pot that's the same size.

The Ninja's performance and quality has been really great. After 3 years though, I'm thinking of a second, or a replacement. I was tempted on this deal but your comment concerned me. Maybe I should just look at another Ninja or the Costco Gourmea deal that comes up from time to time.

Dual sided air fryers are tricky. They offer almost the same heating components (fan, heating element and wattage) but spread it out over two areas. It actually doesn't cost that much more for a manufacturer to produce these dual tray models as a result, but consumers "feel" that they are getting two units in one. The benefit I suppose is less flipping since there is a larger area, but I'm not sure that they actually cook faster because they're heating components are not stronger or more powerful. Having said that, my next one might be a dual tray version, but they do take up more counter space and are less portable.

Ah... the quest for a more perfect air fryer. Everyone should have one, but I think many are becoming just disposable items, just like non-stick pans. People will throw them away after 2-3 years and get a new one, rather than clean those difficult areas or deal with scratched (eventually) coatings.

Regarding the waffle maker, I assume the plates are made of aluminum. I've actually seen some cheap ones that have what seems like plastic plates with a non-stick.

Even with this waffle maker...

Nothing like blasting plastics and other chemicals with high heat for long periods. Use in a well-ventilated area I suppose.

Zwilling has toasters that cost about $110. 5-year warranty, so presumably better built than the typical $20 toaster.

Cheap, ugly rough plastic. They would make any kitchen look worse

I've found long slot style toasters more versatile than having 4 separate slots. Here's the one I have, but its not necessarily the best and there's many of this style to choose from:

Thanks, when I read the reviews, w/ photos, of some of the top rated brands they have the same negative comments that I have about my new toaster. I know the old "best of the best" question doesn't fly anymore but you would think that at least one would stand out as a winner...without hours and hours of research.

I see bad reviews might wait for a better brand in the holiday season.
I've been using it, no issues so far.
