This isn't as hot a price as the other MIJ Tele deal, but it is in the Monaco Yellow color which I saw some people were asking about. If you can afford to wait until Halloween they will usually have a sale with a 15% off coupon.

It probably only darkens slightly to a slightly darker yellow. Clear poly guitar finishes turn yellow over time, as seen on pure white guitars or white edge binding that have aged.

I've only seen clear poly finishes go darker than yellow in severe cases (probably high heat or exposure to UV rays), so I would not expect this to turn brown, nor orange-yellow.

I can personally vouch for this seller, as I'm good friends with one of the owners and this is where I buy my guitars. Don't think buy now! And stop in there next time you're in the Milwaukee area.

The MIM strat I have from late 90s in Alpine white turned cream with a definite yet subtle yellow tint... Paint does often change

Am I missing something here? Why are MIJ tele's competing with MIM Player prices? If I were in the market, I'd go with MIJ every single time if the prices were negligibly different.

I hedge it comes down to specs, these are vintage spec from Fender's comeback era in the 80's but lack some of the modern accoutrements that the Player Plus series has (noiseless pickups, locking tuners, rolled fretboard edges, push-pull pot, etc).
