It was this price at Meijer a month after it was released. 2 years ago. That said the jelly scroll is an overblown, nonsensical talking point for people who have never actually owned or used the device.

Yes, the price has been a fairly common sale price for a while. But it's still a good product at a fair price.
As for the jello effect, I don't even notice it. And when I force it to happen, I wonder what people are so upset about. As long as you can return it, don't let this trivial problem keep you from getting one.

Agree about the jelly scroll. I have to look for it to notice it. And since I don't look for it, I don't notice it. It's not one of those things that once you see it you always see it.

I agree. I bought one right when it came out, and I barely notice the jelly scroll. Unless you are using it for contents that have fast moving stuf like gaming, you'd hardly notice it.

Curious why the mini is so expensive. It is just the A15 core. The current price at most place are still $499. That's almost the price for iPad Pro or iPad Air when they are on sale

And honestly the size format is just perfect in my preference I have the cellular 256 GB it's hard to beat but the non cell version dose not have gps chip keep that in mind you can't use it for gps and stuff in a car and 64 gb will only give you 30 gb free space so this is kind of a crippled device and $800 is to much right now for a cell model if apple had priced the cell version with 128 gb for $500 they would have a good product also I got apple care on mine and had to swap it out 3x for one the battery died and 2 the main bord and 3 the screen digitizer and all of them wear ever dropped or abused so keep this in mind to
I'm moving away from apple stuff but I wish thare was a better tab in the small size range I also have a iPad 12.9 and a Samsung s8 tab ultra but they are so big a laptops is more practical honestly the 8 inch size is perfect I think
