Voice recognition has always been subpar compared to google assistant as well. I was hoping they would have caught up by now
Otherwise I like my echo studio as well
I went a few years thinking HDR was overrated due to my cheap Samsung TV, but later after getting an LG C1, I realized what I'd been actually missing and thought I'd already had. I was similarly misled by a 5.1 soundbar system for some time until I got a great home theater setup and again realized what I'd actually been missing out on.

Honestly, I went with these because of $. I was able to get all three for under $300 from Facebook marketplace. The sound is decent... Only decent. If pricing wasn't an option I would have gone with a Sonos setup instead.
I wish I could use It easier without having to go thru alexa app to pair to a phone as input. Also when using a phone bluetooth to control it, the sub doesnt work. Im probably going to sell mine eventually and just pay more for sonos products and be free of all the Alexa related limitations/bugs.

I just switched off of Google and to Alexa devices. The Google home mini has awful audio and voice recognition was subpar vs. the new echo dot (5th gen).
Feel like the sound on echo dot is fuller.

I like a show in the kitchen and the best sounding ones to me are still the original OG large size echos.
Those have really stood the test of time.
But for where I want big sound. Like the bedroom I use a dot, external speakers and an amp.
