This is an excellent speaker, I mean I'm not a fan of Amazon stuff typically but this has a 3.5 mm Jack and omnidirectional speaker and official support for Dolby. And you're probably getting it for less than cost at this point.

It is a mammoth speaker incredibly heavy and would absolutely run circles around something like the popular boomboxes out there that are going for more money than this. Of course some people just don't want anything to do with Amazon home features and I understand that but even just as Bluetooth speaker with a 3.5 mm connection, this would be a great source of audio.

Yup - have two of them paired in stereo mode. Paid $120 for the second one two years ago but that was a price mistake. Kind of surprised they're selling it this low. My only real frustration with it is that it can't do stereo mode for bluetooth.

I agree -- it's a tremendous speaker that's wasted in our bedroom. Strongly considering getting another and moving the one from the bedroom to replace the two Dots currently paired with a subwoofer in our living room. Only problem is the size -- the Dots sit perfectly in front of the Fire TV, whereas I'd have to rearrange furniture to accommodate a pair of these. May be worth it.

Could be cheaper next week with Amazon Prime Big Deal Days (October 10-11).......just saying.

It's already $154.99 on Amazon, so might as well wait or buy now at Staples, and return if cheaper on Amazon next week.

Doubt it will be cheaper. The lowest Amazon has ever had it for it new on SD was $150 back in 2020. Otherwise Staples sold it for $129 in 2020 but that was through stacking coupons.

If you're thinking about buying one (or however many) I highly recommend to buy this one from Staples.

I own three around the house along with too many shows and echos. Love this along with the subwoofer bass. Nice price. I may grab another.

Just bought one and was able to use a $15 off $100 coupon I had laying around. I didn't think it would work for Amazon devices, but it did. Also used PayPal for an additional 5% cashback as a Chase freedom card holder.

If you buy through Amazon there is also the option for 20% off if you trade in an eligible amazon device and also using an Amazon Prime credit card 10% amazon credit instead of the usual 5% right now.

I'm a installer and tons have Echo devices. Google is the stuff that has issues. Stop worrying about what other think, its a damn fine speaker with more to offer than most.

Where do you guys put this? Can it "hide" behind something (like the TV) or sit on the floor or would that sound horrible? It is just so darn ugly to me, but the great sound everyone seems to agree on has me intrigued.

I have an Toshiba 50-inch Class C350 Series LED 4K UHD Smart Fire TV with Alexa Voice Remote, sound is ok for a tv for full sound i have Demon 3800 x with many speakers. If i wanted this to help with sound of reg tv would this work. Would i need two or would one with the tv speakers be enough? Will this work for my tv?
