How can I prove that I worship in one of these states? Anyone know if a registry you can join for proof?
I'd ask your pastor/minister/etc to write and sign a brief statement to the effect on church/synagogue/etc letterhead. Could even email them some proposed text with your request to make it as easy as possible.

But I do not understand why this is an issue. If I can open a CD or Savings account. How do they see this as negative? It is not a Credit card where I am taking money, but I am putting my own money
The reason some financial institutions care about your account history elsewhere when you're only trying to deposit money with them is that they're sometimes offering an unusually high interest rate to try to attract new customers. Basically, if based on your account history you look like a slickdealer who'll drop them like a rock as soon as someone else offers you a higher interest rate, they may not want to "waste" their promotional expense (in the form of that higher interest paid) on you. People who tend to keep using a financial institution for a long time are their ideal catch. They're onto us! 😆

The banks of those 8+ accounts could simply not require a Chex report.
Yes. My point exactly.

No, there is no credit check involved with opening this CD and required bank account (or any other bank account).
There is no hard pull for Trulient and this CD/account, but the statement that there is no hard pull for any other bank account is not correct.

While you would think this should be the case, reality is that some financial institutions do a hard pull. https://www.doctorofcredit.com/ba...hard-pull/

How is this a slick deal if only a few people can get it? 🤔🤔
You sound salty. It's the same as any other YMMV deal, or a Costco deal.

Call them. It may be simply the chex system could not verify. Happened to me. The DL back side had a lighting glare and could not understand some key info. Had to redo the application and uploaded a better copy of DL and now I could open the CD. Good luck

If you simply live in one of the listed states, you don't need to do anything other than use your address when applying and supplying your drivers license details...

I live in a different state, but I'm wondering if it's possible to show remote worship to get in.
