Kindly post a link to a card that meets the following criteria:

1. Meets or exceeds the FPS of the 4060 TI with DLSS 3.5 and frame gen enabled in new, graphically demanding/ray traced games (Cyberpunk, etc.)
2. Costs less than $359 (or $329 when factoring in the included $30 RAM kit)
3. New and covered by 3 year factory warranty

Looking forward to your competitive apples to apples options.
wow you picked the 1 game that NVIDIA uses as a tech demo, congratulations

how does DLSS 3.5 run on Starfield? Hogward's legacy? RE4 remake? dead space remake?
or the countless of other games?
how about buying a $410 6800 with STARFIELD premium "WHiCh IS $100 sO IT maKES IT $310" that will absolutely destroy this card in the other 100s of games people also play?

don't worry I saw your other post of the 4060ti with "free" RAM
and even there the community agreed more with me that it's a garbage deal

This is an ok deal if your budget is a strict $250, however I'd recommend spending an extra $50 to get a 4060 instead. It's a newer generation, 20% faster on paper, consumes less power, and most importantly (for gamers) has features like "frame generation" technology, which can boost FPS by up to 50%. Note the FPS difference here [youtube.com] and here [youtube.com] for example. Left = no frame gen (which the 3xxx series are limited to). Right = available on 4xxx series cards:

You can get a 2-fan model [newegg.com] of the 4060 for $300, or a 3 fan model [newegg.com] (make sure it will fit your case) for $305:

Alternatively, if you want to splurge a bit more (I realize this is a slippery slope), you can get the 4060 TI for $359. It's 30% faster than the regular 4060, and with frame gen will end up being around twice as smooth as the 3060 while only costing 50% more.

Is there a reason there are no 12gb versions of the 4060?? They are all 8gb. Is the 3060 12gb better in any way with the extra 4gb?

Not really a deal imo. This should be way cheaper. I've owned 3060ti, 3070ti, 6900xt and recently bought Intel ARC 750.

Intel Arc 750 cost me $185 and in all the benchmarks I performed after updating drivers it beats 3060 heavily, it also beats 3060ti in many aspects. I know no dlss but if we are comparing it to 3060 and price/performance I would stay away from this.

Amazon has/had a PNY 2 fan for $260. This is white which normally adds $50-$100 LOL.

All Nvidia had to do was make the 4060 be 12GB with the same number of Cuda and RT cores as the 3060 and it would have been a smash hit at $300.
12gb w/ 192 bit bus and it woulda rocked!

Please don't take the bait where these companies are now trying to upsell software solutions to band-aid inferior hardware. They're only padding profit margins.

The metric that matters is native testing. That is the only way we can do an "apples to apples" comparison by avoiding the selectively beneficial technology that sometimes works on certain titles.

As a 4070 Ti owner, frame generation is overrated. The input lag pretty much cancels out the "smoothness" of the higher fps. I generally leave it off unless it's a game that doesn't require quick responses and the input lag isn't as noticeable.
For real man...... I haven't run into a single use case for dlss 3 besides maybe Microsoft flight sim maybe?

If your not already getting 80 or so fps, turning on dlss 3 is not a good experience. And that frame rate is already pretty visually smooth... I guess if your already getting 100 fps and want to get a boost to hit a high refresh monitors rate, it's good for that.

It's most certainly not going to be a game changer on a 4060 getting low native fps.

I think, if nothing else, it's proven that a huge amount of people can't tell if they're playing at a smooth, locked 30 fps or not.

The problem is that the 4060 ti is strictly a 1080p card.

1. The absolute worse use case for dlss 3 is taking something at an unplayable/enjoyable frame rate like 10, 20, 30 or even 50 fps and boosting it with frame Gen...... It's becoming pretty accepted by many in the community that 60 fps native is a hard bottom for turning dlss 3 on and getting a premium experience from it. But even then, you really want to be closer to 100 fps native to get the most out of dlss 3.

2. Ray tracing and dlss 3 increase memory usage exacerbating that problem even more. Dlss 3 is for hitting your monitors 144hz or 240hz refresh rate. It is not for taking maxed out 1080p cyberpunk from 12 fps to 35 fps. For that matter, it's not even good for taking a game from 40 to 60 fps. Going from 100 to 150 fps? Or 150 to 200 fps? It's really good for that.

So your left with a 1080p card that you need to tune down to medium/high settings to implement dlss 3 properly with a $400 MSRP? It makes a 4070 ti look like a great value.
