Trade in credit was instant?
Yeah, all deducted up front.

I did a lot of mail trade-in too and that usually took around 2-3 weeks to get the credit. Just a bit more of a hassle to do, but I had no choice since my store barely ever stocks the phones.

Stinks you have to request it to be refunded to CC. But at least they do it.
It takes less than 5 min. Very simple.

Yes any junk phone will work- only it should not be blacklisted or not one which cannot be factory reset or Apple ID reset

Well...FCC complaint came through. I got a call last week about it and rep couldn't unlock it. I thought that was the end of it but yesterday I received another call but missed it and it went to VM. Today, I got an email saying phone unlock completed and checked the pixel 8 pro and carrier unlock message was on the phone. Put in random visible sim with no service and I no longer get sim error.

I originally called them to try unlock and failed so that's why I did FCC complaint.
The verbiage for unlock has changed now to say device must be active for 60 days so guessing it's a no go for newer activations. Good luck all.

My trade-in is also complete so I'm technically done with this deal.

Appreciate the update. We'll just wait 60 days, no problemo.
It just doesn't make sense for anyone getting the phone discounted so heavly and able to unlock base on their account usage not the device activiation. Else one can pretty much buy and flip these phones. LMAO

If everyone getting the phone at big discount and get it unlocked then cancel the line next day, we wont see this kind of promotion again. I'm ok to wait 60 days and pay them 2 months. More complaints to FCC only force them to change their policy and their promotion pricing.

1 person getting it unlocked is not everyone. I'm in for 5 and I'm fine waiting the 60 days and paying the 2 months of service.

It did take few mins to install adb drivers but after that the script was a breeze.

Now any more pixel phones I wish to unlock should take 2 mins.
Is this for the Spectrum P7 Pro? Can you share the link to the guide that you used?

I have ordered phone today with trade-in of Samsung Galaxy S9. Paid full price 399 upfront. I did not have IMEI for the trade-in when ordered. Rep entered some random IMEI number. Rep told me to come back with correct IMEI and they can update it. I did chat just now and Rep mentioned that they cannot change the order.
Q1 - would it be okay to send trade-in device though IMEI number does not match one in the order?
Q2 - what happens if I do not send trade-in device though my order has trade-in opted? I did not get any instant discount for that? I will be ordering another phone. May be it is better off use this trade-in device for that order.

Spectrum corporate escalation called me agains today and confirm my Pixel 8 pro will be unlocked shortly in according to the old printed policy. They were thankful that I showed them the incorrect policy on their website, and the incorrect policy on the docu-signed end user agreement. The old policy was indeed 60 days of account but now they are enforcing a new policy of 60 days device activation, but they failed to update the website and legal document.

What is the total of the five lines, excluding the price of the phones?

Q1 - Though I haven't tried, I heard they will accept it as long is the same model phone you listed.

Q2 - To my understanding, you won't get the promotional discount with trade in credit, you already gotten the instant discount which was $399 for the purchase. Basically, if you don't send in your trade in, nothing will change since you can still purchase the P8P for $399 without doing a trade in.

Just wanted to share my experience. Phone was purchased at a Spectrum store.

I am porting over two lines to the Unlimited Plan with the BOGO offer. I am replacing my Pixel 5 with a Pixel 8 Pro 256gb for Line-2 and byod for Line-1.

Line-1
Unlimited $29.99
Activation $10.00
Total: $39.99

Line-2
Pixel 8 Pro $1059.99
Unlimited $29.99 (Free)
Activation $10.00 (waived)
Trade-in Pixel 3 ($10 + $100)
Get $600 off
Total: $349.99

The store did not have the phone I wanted in stock and had to be ordered. They told me I could not trade in my phone in-store since my phone had to be ordered. After processing my payment I noticed my receipt total was lower than what I had on my online invoice the night before. They added my trade-in value on the spot and I didn't have to wait until my phone was shipped and accepted.

So total upfront for P8P 256, activation cost for one phone, first month rate and fees came out to $425.63.

Side Note: I traded in an unlocked Pixel 3 that met all the criteria. After asking me about the phone and glancing at it they honored the full trade-in value on the spot.

I looked at all P8P deals even the watch offer. $349.99 pre tax for a pro 256gb was a no brainer, let alone $29/mo for two lines on top of that. Hope this info helps anyone considering this deal.
