Best Buy's page if you want to activate an unlocked device as part of the order says "We're currently only able to activate service on this unlocked device with Verizon, Google Fi Wireless and AT&T."

But that doesn't mean the phone isn't compatible with T-Mobile, it probably means they don't stock T-Mobile SIMs and service. Do you have a source that says this unlocked phone from Best Buy will not take a T-Mobile SIM?

Also, trade-in note at checkout if you're selecting store pickup is "Bring your trade-in device to the store when you pick up your new item."

That really sucks. I am sure they will fix it, because you can always return the phone and redo the deal as long as they give you your trade-in back.
My only concern is with the $300 promotion discount. Since it's not actually an applied gift card like the $160 TIV is, how will that "balance" apply towards the next purchase... since it's only there because of the trade-in itself. For the next purchase there won't actually be a trade-in... ugh I feel like I'm going to get hosed for sure. Fingers crossed

The more I think about it, I'm 75% sure that I just got hosed if I go to return the device for an exchange. I may just have to convince them to give me the buds or a gift card for their value instead.

Correct, but if you bring in multiple devices, you dont get the 300 discount twice, is what im getting at. Best buy dude said i could get the $160 dollar gift card for the additional device, but not stack the 450 + 460
you can stack for second order. discount is one time. if you still dont see a problem then that sales person had a goo eye to send you back empty hands

For real, you guys need to stop bickering. It's not making this thread better or more informative. Suck up your pride and just move on. Unless someone wants to upload a receipt showing 2x trade-ins for a single Pixel phone purchase and it shows 2x $xxx Google coupons applied as well as the normal TIV, then all these arguments are pointless speculation. Can you technically sell them any number of phones in a single transaction... sure that might be possible but that's not really the same thing as a trade-in. Until proven otherwise, my position stands at that.

So if I have an unlocked iPhone SE, I can trade it in under whatever iPhone carrier is listed and get the full trade in amount? Looking to ship this to their trading partner by the way.

Those who've been to BestBuy, did you see any display units in store?

The Pixel6 and Pixel7 devices came with what's called a rigid OLED. These break very easily even if the outer glass is intact.

I want to checkout the Pixel8 in person before purchase. I'm hoping their new "Actua" displays are actually flexible OLEDs, but we cannot be sure.
To answer my own question.. I managed to go to a BB nearby and they had display units for P8 and P8P, right beside a P7A.

I can confirm that the P8 display does NOT look like the P7A's display, and is much closer to the solid OP8T I had previously.

There is no rainbow effect when you turn the device from side to side or up and down.

The "auto-focus" selfie camera on P8Pro was worse than the one on P8.

And the P8 feels so good in the hand thanks to the slightly reduced size and rounded edges.

Just traded in a Pixel 7 physically at Best Buy. It took them a while to figure out the discount business. The total trade in value was $450. $250 from Google and $200 was Best Buy gift card. The total came out to $286 for Pixel 8 (128 GB) and Pixel Bud Pro. Here is the math: $699-$250=$449 (tax on this amount was around $37), then subtract $200 Best Buy gift card. Final payment: $286.

I was able to pick up the Buds pro right then, received a message 15 mins later. I went into the store so I could physically trade in the phone, as opposed to mailing it, and also to make sure that all the discounts show up.
This post has me a bit confused. I want to order my Pixel 8 right now. They're quoting 660 trade in for iPhone 12 Pro, meaning I only have to pay like 40 bucks plus the tax on msrp. So around 80 bucks.

If I go order it now, can I go in tomorrow, trade in my 12 Pro, and get 660 refunded to my credit card immediately?

what is the confusion? bring the iphone 12 pro to best buy they will give you a total credit of $660 towards the Pixel 8 phone and you just pay the difference of $39 + tax. Ignore the details in my post, that is for people who like the gory details.
