Best Buy's page if you want to activate an unlocked device as part of the order says "We're currently only able to activate service on this unlocked device with Verizon, Google Fi Wireless and AT&T."

But that doesn't mean the phone isn't compatible with T-Mobile, it probably means they don't stock T-Mobile SIMs and service. Do you have a source that says this unlocked phone from Best Buy will not take a T-Mobile SIM?

Also, trade-in note at checkout if you're selecting store pickup is "Bring your trade-in device to the store when you pick up your new item."

Is anyone else other than stu5797 able to trade in two phones, especially two iPhone SE, in a single transaction for one Pixel Pro 8?
Unfortunately we've still yet to see any proof of this working. So until then, no it's not possible the system will not let it apply.

So fun fact about them not including the free Buds/Watch... the system will automatically add it a few days later. I know this because the clerk forgot to add my buds, and I went back 20 mins later chat with CS about it. CS and manager said best resolution was for me to do a return/exchange on the 12th when I pickup the phone. I didn't like that but said whatever. Went back the next day because I felt uneasy about it and asked again if we could resolve it before my trade-in got shipped away and I'd be screwed. Manager swiped a GC and handed me a Buds Pro right then and there. 3 days later, I was checking out my order on the app and bam... the buds were magically there and ready for pickup. Just left BB 5 mins ago with my Buds Pro.
So you got 2 Buds Pro?

For my first in-store trade-in preorder of the Pixel 8, yes I got 2 Buds Pro. The manager offered me a choice between the black or ... blueish one and I'm kicking myself for not choosing the blueish one. Oh well.

Just back from doing a Walmart iPhone SE3 trade in for credit on a Pixel 8, and this was the most difficult deal, by far, ever that I've ever dealt with. The few here that did this deal with knowledgeable Best Buy reps, with no drama, should consider themselves lucky!

It took 3 trips to the store, over 3 days, the first two times rejected, once being told that the bonus was only for Pixels traded for Pixels. Spent more than an hour on those two trips between waiting and debating with them. One called a "supervisor" on the mic to verify the rejection.

Today I went in with more info and screen images of the Best Buy website Pixel 8 online transaction, with a SE3 trade-in. After arriving at the cell phone sales desk, an employee apologized (it was about 11:15am) saying they were short staff today, and it would be a while until anyone could help me. 10 minutes later, she saw I was still waiting and called again for someone to help me.

I showed the rep the screen images to prove to them that this deal was real, and said that I wanted to do this in store so I could pick it up in person. (The real reason was my concern that the Straight Talk carrier locked phone would be rejected after mailing it in from an online purchase, as Straight Talk is not listed on the website cell provider pull down for the SE3, unlike other phones in the list).

First guy today assumed, without telling me, that I was just selling them my SE3 and then wanted to apply that to a phone purchase with activation, which would give me $160 for. That wasted 20 minutes. I explained that there was a $300 bonus added to that and several people had done it in store and gotten the same deal as on the website. I was then told by a 3rd employee that these kind of deals many times are website only. I repeated that others had done it in store and that wasn't true here. (Can you sense the frustration so far?).

The 2nd rep said "maybe that bonus only comes up when processing the purchase of the Pixel 8 and doing a trade-in! Yes, I told him, that's exactly it. Then they all disappeared for 10 minutes. Two returned and started the transaction. I told them "Verizon" was the carrier, not mentioning Straight Talk. They took the phone, reset things (I had no data on it of course, but had done the setup without ever putting in the SIM, so that they could verify things on the phone). That took another 15 minutes.

I encouraged them to look for a code like Pixel, or Google, which I read was the code the brought up the promo. Doing that finally resulted in them seeing how this works. A $160 gift card, followed by a $300 coupon code. Finally, and now it was about an hour after this started, I was making progress. Their printers were down of course, so they had to print the coupon in a back office and return with it.

I was shocked when they brought me the Pixel Pro Buds, without me asking, and started to give me the choice in colors. I told them I'd take the off-white unless the charcoal was the only color that was part of this promo. They tried the off-white but it did not ring up as free! So they cancelled that and scanned the charcoal ones.

Then time to scan in the gift card as part of the payment. Then a more typing, then scanning the $300 coupon. Then about 2-3 signatures and agreements that I'd pay $45 for an open box return, etc, declining insurance, etc.

Finally, again, minutes later, they took the SE3, wrapped it up, handed me the ear buds and receipt, and this marathon was finally over! Like I said, not sure it was worth all this frustration, and the idea that unless I found a rep that was willing to work at this and try, this would have never gotten done! But, I didn't want to face another fiasco trying to return the opened, now "used", SE3 to Walmart, even though I know their policy is that they should accept this return.

That's all!

The $300 bonus would be fortified. You would get the trade in value that shows up. iPhone XR is 140+300(bonus). You would get $140 in GC

That is why you don't ask employees. Order the dang phone online in your account. Everything will show as intended when you arrive this Thursday to pick up the phone. You then give them the iPhone SE and scan your finger do the trade in and your done.

Keep in mind Best Buy will probably run a Black Friday special ($100 off the 8 and $150 off the 8 Pro) with similar trade in values for individuals who want to save more on the phone and don't care about a free watch or buds.
