It's a 32 inch screen. Your description of the difference is overblown in my opinion. If it were bigger, like 50+, I'd be more inclined to agree. Not to say there isn't a difference at 32, but I think for a spare room or something with casual use, it'd be fine.

I have a few Insignia 32" TV's from a few years ago. One is in the kitchen and the other is in a guest bedroom. They work great and picture quality is good. I'm very happy with them and $80 is a great price. I have larger 4K TV's in other parts of the house.

There's plenty of LG and Samsung 1080p 48 or 50 inch TVs on FB marketplace for less than $80.

That said, those are used and a couple of years old.
