That's because amino acids (including the "branch chain" 3") are natural building blocks of protein. It's all over protein powders because protein powder itself inherently has these amino acids as part of its structure. They do help recovery, unless you already have ate a bunch of proteins in the past few hours, supplementing BCAAs is perfectly logical. Even just using this for the electrolyte content could justify a $14 price tag. I'll probably end up being in for one, this was my old go to bcaa drink before i started buying unflavored in bulk. But this would be good to help mix unflavored raw supps with for some taste. Just watch electrolyte intake if you're drinking propel or something else. I buy raw citrulline ( not malate, just free form), beta alanine, taurine, and some other aminos and take they as needed usually mixing with an amino based drink or simply squeezing that sweet sugar free " water enhancer " and getting it down. XD

Agreed with everyone about the electrolytes. I used to take BCAAs religiously about 10 years ago. The whole thing is debatable today. The benefit for me really came down to the electrolytes which helped me on tough workout days especially when leaning out and cheaper than electrolyte powders. Personally not a fan of the blue raspberry but I'm in the minority so this is a good deal.

This stuff is truly horrible. There's this disgusting aftertaste that's tastes like what burnt rubber smells like. I couldn't even finish my first cup and tossed the whole tub out. I've never done that with a supplement before.

Get the natural zero variant if this one messes with your stomach.

The value of BCAAs is arguable but it's electrolyte content is really good.

I tried taking EAAs but I genuinely felt like I had better workouts when taking this stuff. The EAAs just didn't have the same electrolyte content.

This stuff works well but only really worth it if you are lifting hard for 1+ hour and mix it in x2-3 the recommended amount of water. I think about it as weightlifting Gatorade.

That info is ten years old, bcaas do nothing if you're already hitting your protein macros, and I'd you weren't you'd be much better off with whey
