People generally will not give up affordability even if it requires some maintenance or replacement every few years. Manufacturers "can't afford" to use materials that would price them out of their target market while cutting into their profit or that would negatively affect their sales by becoming a product that rarely needs replaced.

When will manufacturers realize that most intelligent people stay far away from steel and wood frames as they simply do not last in most environments. Although aluminum pits, it's the only material I would ever buy. Wicker and hybrids should be avoided too. The only thing you should have to maintain on furniture is your cushions that should be scotch guarded every so often.

Gray is OOS. I think only the blue has free shipping now, as the green says $50 to ship. I was going to buy one of these last year but missed out, so I pulled the trigger this time!
