Can someone please check my math? I'm trying to compare this Verizon + Costco vs financing a new phone with Apple and going with Mint Mobile.

Verizon + Costco Single Line

Verizon Monthly : $90
Gift Card Monthly Value : -$12.50. ($450 / 36)
Net Monthly Cost : $77.50

Apple Finance with Trade In + Mint Mobile

Apple Finance : $31.20 (iPhone Pro 128Gb to make it the same as the Verizon deal)
Mint Mobile : $15 (current unllimited plan promo)
Total Monthly Cost : $46.20

Summary

I can get a much better deal just buying the phone direct from Apple with trade-in and Apple Finance and going with Mint Mobile right?

Calculate over 36 months. Buy a $50 iphone 6 from eBay and sell your current phone. Divide that profit over 36 months and reduce Verizon monthly cost. Mint unlimited $15 per month is only for 3 months. Calculate the real price for remaining 33 months. Verizon ultimate is much better than Mint.

Is $200 rebate strict about 10/4 to 10/31 purchase dates? I purchased on 9/30 but the phones are not shipped yet. I was told if I activate phones within 60 days of that date range, I would qualify - Verizon kiosk rep at Costco.

The sales rep picked the wrong phone at checkout. Is it possible to change it after the order has been placed? Or do I have to cancel the order and do it again?

I read the trade in can be "any iPhone." However, does anyone know if they are picky about condition (e.g screen cracked or phone not turning on) or if the phone is locked? Thinking if it makes sense to just buy the cheapest phone on eBay or something trade in.

Thinking of switching over 4 lines so looking for suggestions on cheapest and easiest option.

For new lines, it is any iPhone, any condition, guarantee. (Of course it has to have a clean IMEI, meaning it is not a stolen phone)

I traded in an iPhone 3G which can't even boot up lol, no issue at all, got $1000 credit over 36 months.

Fwiw to new customers, I am frustrated with Verizon. They routinely make a mess of my bill. I have to call anytime I make a plan change or new device. It's ridiculous. The apathy and incompetence in customer service and billing is shameful.

You folks pay too much for service but who am I to judge if these types of deal are available, almost worth it for those who want best network and device.
Many don't need it but still purchase hence the discounts.
