Works for me - I have ~120 books and just ended another free 3 month trial about 10 days ago. My main issue is I have such a backlog of books...

Here's some recommendations (you'll notice a theme)

Project Hail Mary (so good I've listened to it twice)
The Fellowship of the Ring (narrated by Andy Serkis - also available are TTT, ROTK, HOBBIT and SIM...)
Leviathan Wakes (first of The Expanse books)
We Are Legion (We Are Bob) (first of a scifi series)
World War Z: The Complete Edition (not at all like the movie)

Great list, unfortunately the deal didn't work for me.
By the way there's a 2 for 1 deal on some books, so I got "We Are Legion (We Are Bob)" and "LoTR Fellowship" for free. Even though I've read it, I figured it'll be fun to listen to it this time around. Had 1 leftover credit from my previous subscription.
Also PHM is my favorite audiobook from recent memory!

Your list is great. I've listened/read to almost all of them. There's a few I'll need to add to my to-read list. Have you listened to Ryk Brown's Frontier Saga? I've been entranced by this series for the last few months. Might be my all time favorite series (the narrator is perfect). It has Robotech/Firefly/BSG mashup vibes. I don't have Audible but my brother does and he said he can get most of them free on Audible right now. He's been calling me every week to tell me how much he's enjoying this series, which has been great since for years we rarely called each other…cause we are lazy not because we hate each other. I usually get tired of series when they go past 7ish books. But this series (3parts of 10+books in each part) has not bored me at all. I'm sad I'm about to end the third part.

Great this worked, especially great as I wanted to return a particular title from the 4 months deal over the summer. I had gotten it right before cancellation and really did not like the book. Now that I am a member again I can go back in time and return within 12 months. Extra credit, so to speak.

And this will nicely get us through the holiday season with travel etc. Plenty of stuff to listen to.

This was a weird one for me. I got some errors like others when I tried signing up for this on the Amazon site (and it changed to a free 1 month trial which errored and then ultimately gave me no deal), but when I tried on the audible site it let me sign up no problem. I've been an audible customer before, but cancelled 6+months ago.
