It's infotainment is great
current model y is noisy as hell also
Check it out
Sounds like CVRP is being replaced with a different program that'll include up to 12k for trashing an old clunker in favor of an EV?

Some more context here but essentially it's moving to focus on lower-income residents so the max income cap is lower and the incentives are structured a bit differently-

The sound system is better on the Long Range/Performance, but unless you're into music and play it loud, most people won't notice...like my wife!
I'd buy the 3 base and save the 10K, but I'm driving solo or just a single passenger the vast majority of the time.
Also insurance will go up almost $80 a month for the Tesla.
A 5-10 minute stop would get you well past 400 miles one way.
Real world data says in freezing conditions (20-30 degrees out) you're down to about 200 miles of range on a single charge.
So one 10 minute supercharger stop, not an hour long one, still gets you to your destination without issue. And again this is only that bad below freezing.
Consider that you'll probably save that much or more time throughout the year NOT stopping at gas stations for regular fueling if you instead just charge at home- and you're still ahead of owning a gas car in terms of time wasted fueling.
Now if at-home charging isn't possible for you that's a different story.

30k for a model Y ...now we are talking and it makes total sense. in 5 to 10 years, GAS-powered cars will have the same Autopilot and all the software the EVs have minus the electric battery, etc. Very limited charging station is a big No.
