Another way to look at it is you're getting a discount on the TV if you finance because money has value over time. Even if you could buy it outright, throwing that cash in a Treasury bill gets you 5% annually

Adding from the previous 77" thread…

Got 77" for 2105 before tax, including extra 10% from chat and $100 credit for tv trade in. Don't suspect it goes lower this year.

Mine arrived, but was cracked and no picture. Have to return and reorder, no replacements through Samsung.com. Also have to wait to get the price match to the reorder until after second order ships. They appear to only ship on Fridays so waiting a week for all of it. Huge pain.

It's a big discount but I probably won't order direct from Samsung again. This is the case where I may well wait until BF now and buy elsewhere.

Finance the TV at 0% and put the money in Treasuries or CD

The TVs are no longer giving me the additional EDU/EPP/AAA discount. All other categories (phones, monitors etc) still have the discount.

This is using AAA, so could be different than EDU/EPP.

I purchased the 77" S90C with no problems a few days ago (AAA discount, 5% referral, $25 off in app), but was considering purchasing a second.

Thank you for posting this. I thought I was going crazy, because between last night and this morning something changed and I no longer was getting the EDU discount. I was going back and forth on whether to get the 55" or 65" for my office and ultimately decided for the price and size of the room the 55" made more sense. I did test this after reading your post and I was able to add a monitor with the EDU discount, but none of the TVs even though on their product page it shows the right price until you add it to the cart.

It seems their Chat Support is also not aware of this issue as they were going down the troubleshooting route of clearing cookies and cache, trying another device, etc etc. Hopefully it's a temporary glitch and not an expired offering as I would like to take advantage of the Black Friday sale pricing with the EDU discount. FYI the Chat Support is only offering 2 Years Samsung Care coverage for a discount which isn't terrible but I rather have a flat product discount.

After EPP and referral discount of 5%, Just bought 77 inch for total $2013 after tax with free Samsung Care+ for two years after chatting with the rep. Also had $100 off offer from discover on $1000+ spending and $51 from chase, so I did a split payment. I feel like it's a good deal!

In for one 65".
To confirm, all you need to do to get the 2 year Samsung warranty for free is chat with the online expert and say you will purchase right now if they give it to you.

One question I have is: how does everyone feel about giving your social to id.me website?

They asked my email, phone number, shipping/billing address and shared the cart with me. I had to redirect to samsung site from perkspot to reflect epp discount. I would not mention about EPP or other discounts you may have as I did not get free warranty yesterday when I mentioned as the rep told me its already a deep discount.

Interesting.
The rep I had offered it immediately as if it's part of the script they read from.

I did say I have all Samsung products this and that and want to stay in to eco system etc etc though. Maybe that had something to do with the ease of getting it.
They replied to that and said "if you agree to purchase right now I will give you a promo code for 2 year warranty."

There's nothing wrong with financing something if you think you can get a better return than the interest rate. The problem is that most people use financing to buy things that they can't really afford, be that a car or now a TV. For everyone like you and I that will take financing deals and invest the difference, there's twenty people who use financing to keep up with the Joneses.
Exactly I want to see the finances of everyone in here saying put it in T-bills bro, this is how you end up with high debt in credit cards

I just got an email that my 77" s90c was swapped for a "77 s90cd.

Quick Google search says this is the Costco version and is the same except for slightly better speakers and an extra year added to the warranty.

Sounds like a good thing, I hope.

Just got the same email. Looks like the delivery date is now undetermined, but a little speaker upgrade seems worth it

Is this the "black Friday" price (I'm interested in the 65) or is it going to go down further since it's sat at this price for 45 days? (I know, crystal ball lol)

Agreed. Speaker upgrade is nice, but I'd like to get the TV in the next week or so.

I did some research, and I think we are still stuck with the 1 year manufacturer warranty. Additional warranties look to be added on by the warehouse (costco, sams club, bjs).

Got a 77" with employee pricing. Somehow ended up with a promo code for a $200 Samsung credit, no idea where that came from but nice bonus. Thanks OP, repped.

Damn good deal! I'm trying to replicate it but Samsung.com still isn't giving me the AAA discount with most TVs right now.

Edit: I chatted with Samsung rep and she said it seems to be a AAA only issue, and that EDU/EPP still show the lower price. We cancelled and resubmitted my order, with a price match request to get down to the $1,874.99 from my previous order. The order still includes the 2 yr Samsung Care+. The $200 Samsung.com credit is now added.

What is the $200 samsung.com credit? Is that in addition to the reference code or is that what it is for the 77 inch?
