An additional 15% off with code "VORTEX15" makes these $119. Not a bad deal for these, IMO. These probably lack some higher end features, but for the price there's not a lot that's better.
Since these are last-gen binos, I'd say one might want to look at Athlon's last-gen offering in this range, the Argos. For $99 I think it's the marginally better deal, but some people have that Vortex brand loyalty. https://cameralandny.com/shop/ath...uery=Argos

Thanks for the suggestion. I opted for the Vortex ones since there was extra CB and comes out only $10 more over the Argos. Vortex has a closer focus distance, a slightly wider FoV and is a bit lighter.
I believe that this is on sale because it is old non-HD model (DB-205) and discontinued. The current version is Diamondback HD and the model number is DB-215.

It is the old, discontinued model. The HD model has gone as low as $170 according to the camel but are around $200 right now.
I was looking to keep it around $100. At $120 and 10% CB, its close enough. My needs are low...just to replace some $20 no-name China binocs.

The original Diamondbacks are now currently discontinued and replaced by the Diamondback HD's which are superior over the original diamondbacks for a couple of reasons! The HD's consist of higher quality prisms that will transmit light more efficiently and also consist of superior phase coatings allowing for a more clear, contrasted image with a more sharp and structured effect as well as more color fidelity! This will make the Diamondback HD's just an upgraded and higher quality version!
I'm not sure +50% cost would be much benefit for someone like me.
