The Apple website shows $1799 for the first one, and $3599 for the second one. Identical specs, as far as I can tell. Am I missing something, here?

Shhhh…. Haha Apple briefly was requiring 3rd part verification earlier this year but shut that back down like after a week or so I think. Been doing this since high school in early 2000s lol, but relieved to see they went back on verification… for now. Apple does require it in most other countries though. Best way to get newest Apple gear discounted, although honestly the last couple years it seems Amazon discounts new Apple stuff like a month or two after it comes out now… I might just stop preordering and waiting a little bit for retailer discounts and my 5% cashback. I mean look at how much lower the new 15" MacBook Airs have been discounted lately and Amazon even selling Apple Watch Series 9 on day one with a small discount up front lol.
