Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank

This monitor does not require Thunderbolt. Specifically what is being used is Displayport Alt mode over USB-C, which almost all laptops will support. It might happen some people are connecting this to a Thunderbolt capable USB-C port, but TB is not relevant here

I have this monitor. Great deal at this price. Has everything you would want aside from a higher than 60 Hz refresh rate. Definitely worth the extra amount for IPS. Compared with similar LG PVA monitor, the IPS colors are much more vibrant and not washed out. For anything better you would have to go OLED.

Which firmware version did you update to? I updated to firmware version M2C103 awhile back and also updated to Sonoma. I'm already using USB-C to DP but still experiencing the flickering issues.
M2C103 is the version I have as well. I have the monitor set to DP 1.2, DDC/CI on, and I'm using a Warrky brand braided 6ft USB-C to DP cable that is rated 4K@60Hz or 2K/1440P@165Hz (amaz0n B07RY75V7Q).

I signed up for education discount but the code isn't working. Seems the code applies to selected items only.

Ordered two with edu discount. Been waiting for a deal like this for a year. Tried to go though a CB site as well, be a nice bonus if it works.

unless you have a $1.5K/top 1% GPU you are not going to be running very many newer games at 4K 120hz
Lots of things wrong with that statement.
Even if you can't hit 120Hz, hitting even 90Hz with a Freesync/GSync/Vrr monitor is a noticeable improvement.

And with DLSS, you can easily hit 120Hz in almost any new game with the right settings, particularly if you have a DLSS 3 card, almost all of which are less than $1.5K (except 4090).

This is a great deal for 32inch ips 4k monitor with pretty good color gamut, USB type c charging function.
But one thing I want to mention is this monitor only has 1 year warranty.

Anyone have an extra edu discount code? When I try to use my school email, I get an "Invalid email" error.

Yes. One thing I noticed is it wouldn't take the email if it has a period in it. Not sure if that impacts you?
