I've noticed the majority of these comments are about the REFURB chairs that Crandall sells, which is NOT what this deal is about. This deal is on the *authorized returns*, not the refurbished chairs. The authorized returns are chairs that people purchased directly from Steelcase and returned within the 14 day window. Steelcase sells those to Crandall, which they, in turn, re-sell at a discounted price. So, you're getting a chair that is basically new; worst case, a chair that someone has used and returned within 14 days, or potentially used and returned to Cradall within their 14 day window. Either way, *significantly* less time than any used chair that you will find elsewhere.

I think it's important to compare apples to apples. Yes, you can buy a used chair from marketplace, or offerup, or somewhere else, but they are *used*, potentially for years. This deal is for chairs that are authorized returns from Steelcase, so the price will be reduced from new, but not the same as used from elsewhere.

Trying to address the commenters complaining about the price. "Used" is not the same as "Authorized returns"

Or just check marketplace. The amias are probably the best bang for the buck. Leaps are excellent, but pricey.

No complaints with Crandall here. I've ordered two refurbished chairs (leap v2 and amia) from them. Both are almost a year old and still look and feel new. My back has never been better.

These are good chairs, but you may be able to score a really good deal on FB market place/Craiglist. I bought steelcase gesture for $220 in really good condition . It's a unicorn deal but sub $500 is easy

I'm 6'1" and 240lb, but I am super pleased with my Leap V2 with the "4d arm rest". I use it at the 2nd highest position, so I think the highest position should be great for somebody slightly taller.

I bought my chair during BF 2020, and had it shipped to a forwarder and freighted to Europe, so I paid 40% ontop of Crandall's price (about 1000USD in total due to shipping and 25% VAT), and it's the best non-tech purchase I've made in years, wouldn't hesitate to do it again.

I also have a Herman Miller Aeron Remastered model C that I bought brand new.
For me, the Steelcase Leap V2 is more comfortable, but during hot summer months, the mesh of Aeron keeps me a little bit cooler.

I'm 6'7" and use the Amia. I took mine home from the office and use at home. I was initially tempted to buy a taller cylinder trom Crandell but decided that it's not needed. The Steelcase have so may adjustments that it should fit a broad range of people. See if you can get a sitting in them in advance from somewhere.
