still sitting sour that my Gen 1s had the known crackle issue and Apple wouldn't replace them.

Attractive price but I can't bring myself to buy AirPods from Amazon. Too many horror stories in the reviews about receiving fakes and Reddit posts about people wanting to or suggesting buying real ones and returning fakes. Some have mentioned Amazon co-mangles the inventory so there is a chance a pair listed as Sold and Shipped by Amazon is actually a unit from a 3rd party seller.

While a lot of that is hearsay, there are enough reviews that give me pause.

doesnt hurt to try, but be ready to rebuy at the new price and when it arrives send it back as the first purchase.

oh and be sure to tell them what a hassle it is and that it costs them to process both the new purchase and return.

I was seriously considering the Sony WF-1000XM5 over the AirPod pro 2s due to the enhanced NC feature and possibly the sound quality; however, for this price I would consider buying them. Does anyone have any personal experience with both? I'm still on the fence.

Costco has the same price, it matched the amazon's $190 but it's not USB C.

I bought the WF-1000XM5 and returned them pretty quickly. I just couldnt get them to sound very good. It's a shame because I am such a huge fan of the WF-1000XM4. Those have been my primary earbud for the last two years. But my XM4s battery died and I picked up Airpod Pro Gen 2 recently and am now an "airpod person"
