I just wish these included D&D Beyond versions as well. I get that they're two different products but definitely hurts to buy twice.

This is not what happened. They got caught pulling a sketchy move, spent the better part of a month deflecting and gaslighting their fans, and eventually caved after half their customers cancelled their d&d beyond subscriptions. Then they released some of their content under the creative commons license, but certainly not everything.

I bought this a month ago for $15. Definitely worth this price even if you just read the section on waterdeep.

My son is in a d&d club at school and plays almost every day with friends in a couple of campaigns. I don't know much about it beyond that, would any of this stuff be a good Christmas gift for him? I know they pretty much make their own campaigns up as they go if that makes a difference

Awesome! Ive only played for a few years but ya I think many of these would be welcome, Xanathars Guide to Everything has a lot of extra new stuff for both people who are the players or run the game (DM) so its a safe bet, Mythic Odysseys of Theros is a Greek mythology one that is probably different from what they have played so far and may be cool, have heard good things. The first one OP listed Ive never played but at $9.99 it is supposed to be an awesome campaign at a steal and even if your son and crew "homebrew" their own games they can always take characters and stuff from a campaign book like this. Since they play often they probably already have some experience with the Starter Sets so you can probably skip those. Hope this helps!

Awesome, this does absolutely help! I wasn't really sure what these were exactly lol, but this makes sense. I'll get the guide to everything and a couple of the campaigns, sounds like fun.

And they completely reversed course, released everything as Creative Commons open license.

If he doesn't have a Player's Handbook you should start with that one, and it's a great buy at $18. Beyond that any of them would be fun, especially if he wants to be the one running the game.

Mordenkainen Presents: Monsters of the Multiverse was $19 end of last month from Walmart but I had to hit $35 to get free shipping so I picked up Xanathar's Guide to Everything at regular price for $26 and now its $18 with this deal however I don't see the Monsters of the Multiverse included in the Amazon sale. Oh well, lots of great stuff here. (I do notice the "List Price" is about double Walmart's regular price)

Adding to this, if they have a good sized group and only one copy of player's handbook, it can be really nice to have an extra copy to share when making characters and for general play.

Great prices, but the one thing that I really had my eye out for is the one with the lowest discount (Warriors of Krynn boardgame - $50 at 26% off).
