If you are interested in one, I would heavily recommend RF4 over 5. RF4 was the pinnacle of their 2D development that I have replayed multiple times on 3ds and switch while RF5 feels like a barebones shift to 3D that tries to copy the same beats form RF4 but was so boring I couldn't finish it.

I like both. RF4 has more depth but RF5 has its perks too. I would recommend getting it on PC if you can however. Performance on Switch is sad.

RF4 was probably the best farming sim game I've played. Stardew valley has some mechanics that were better but RF4 takes it in terms of overall experience and charm. Felt much more engaged. Too bad there wasn't a follow up that matched

RF4 is fine, RF5 on the Switch can have frame drops and long loading screens can decrease the enjoyability because quick travel is used a lot and the time just waiting stacks up.
