Just had the power supply go out on my 1515+ last week after 8 years of service. Replaced the PSU and it's back in business. Was almost hoping I had an excuse to get the 1522... I'm sure we'll see $580 again soon.

I was super close to just buying a 923+ , but ended up buying this 1522+ instead for same price. No brainer for me since this comes with 8gb ECC and the 5th expansion bay.

I purchased from Amazon; they're doing 6% CB for prime members, which basically offsets my state tax (6.25% for MA).

Great deal. Unfortunately, I'm not seeing worthwhile deals on HDDs yet. I did see there's 20TB for $280, but I'm not too keen on shucking drives and voiding warranty.

have a couple of the ds920+ and was just looking on ebay to see whats on there. looks like they are going for right around $500 bidding. else they are almost $1K! O.O

I bought this on the last sale and am loving it! This is a fantastic NAS to get with ECC and a faster cpu. The upgradeability, to put in up to 32 (possibly 64) GB ECC ram, 2x M.2 drives for cacheing, a 10Gb NIC, and add up to 2x external drive drive expansion enclosures made this very attractive to me.
