Thanks op. For those with AmEx Dell offers to burn, I ended up doing the 50 off 100 Dell offer, so will be 150 plus tax, and also got 10% CB via a CB site.

They have to pay a licensing fee and there's a special DRM Microsoft approved chip that logitech has to put in the wheel for it to work on Xbox

Yes, it is clearly a way for you to buy specific accessories for their console. The wheel does the same but if you like cars you either play with one console or pay double to be able to play Forza and GT.
