Yeah, at that weight in the Delta Design you get 2KWH of battery. May say something about the build quality of the ecoflow compared to anker, but for my use case that extra 15 lbs is rough. Even the 27 lbs is a bit heavy, but it works well for my needs otherwise.

Also the best deal still is the Delta 2+Delta Max (so Lifepo4 on the 2 and NMC on the Max) for 1449 from Home Depot. Makes it big enough to qualify for the 30% tax credit bringing the whole system down to around 1k for 3 KWH of system. Especially if you are military or can find the HD ten percent coupons making it even better.

The coupon was posted too late. I already ordered the Anker Solix J1200 [amazon.com]. Owning an Ecoflow River, at $624 I would have probably bitten on this.

Anker has a far better warranty.

And more wh. But it's not expandable and weighs a LOT more for not much more wh. 1kwh @ 27 lbs vs Anker 1.3 kwh @ 42+ lbs.

In 6+ months of watching this is the lowest I have seen the Delta 2. I'm tempted to upgrade (sidegrade?) from my River that I got from Sams Club that is Lifepo batteries.

god damn thats a huge difference in weight. to me, the delta form factor is the perfect design. i like that front and rear ports. seems like its more accessible in real life scenario in cars.

I've been pretty rough on ecoflow power stations I have. Been using the river 2 pro and the river max daily without any issues. I must say they got their software down compared to Anker but the build quality is probably better on the Anker than Ecoflow. Still either one are solid products.

And the Solix 1200 doesn't have an APP. No BT no WiFi.

It's huge for me to control screen on time, charge rates (AC and DC), turning things on/off, seeing charge levels, update firmware, etc

What solar panels would you recommend getting with these? I'm thinking about getting the ecoflow solar panels for simpmicity...

I would suggest either the current deal on Renogy panels 2 for $131 https://www.amazon.com/Renogy-Mon...07JXYTFF7/ because that's roughly $65 per panel and they have excellent performance and design. However they are heavier than Harbor Freight 100W panels and you will need gloves when handling them otherwise you will slice open your hands and get constant scrapes on your shins.I also recommend getting the Z-bracket mounting kits https://www.amazon.com/Renogy-Set...00W49ZPPK/ then you can easily mount them to a scrap pallet. I live in in area with very little wind and I've had these panels in series-parallel configuration just laying on my roof mounted on scrap pallet wood and they've been perfect.

If you don't have any PV supplies already you'll also need some Y-adapters for the series-parallel configuration, some PV cable to make customer cables (the renogy panels don't offer a very long PV cable extending from the panel to the EF unit), M4 crimps, crimping tool, and I also suggest a connector assembly tool that will make disconnecting MC4 cables much easier on your fingers.

Aren't these things supposed to have life span of 10year +? What app do you think will still be working then? Never know when they'll pull a sonos to increase funding.

You're comparing never having the hardware built in to support an app vs the remote possibility of best in class app (per almost all reviewers and my own experience) from one of the leading companies in this space no longer being supported?

If the app is no longer supported, and ceases to function for some reason then it comes a device exactly like the Anker.

Do I need the charge controller with the solar panels as well or is that built in to the power station?
