Not a terrible deal but not great either. Wish they had these clippable coupons when they had the 8k discounted to 250 a few weeks ago.

they had electrical provider rebates right on the home depot website tho (efficiency rebates). mine was 50 tho i didnt go through with the purchase

anyways, kinda need the 12k btu. dont think it's gonna be on sale besides costco which i dont have near/membership

amazon had/has the 12k btu for 250 refurbed, just dont know about refurb

I have the refurbished one for a couple weeks now and so far so good. Could not tell it wasn't new. Definitely a huge difference between the window unit I had before which was very loud and did not cool near as well.

I picked up a refurb a couple of weeks ago. It runs great but the electric motor that controls the baffle doesn't seem to work. I decided not to return it, I can manually open the cover, and I don't want to play refurbish lottery for weeks. I haven't bothered to do a teardown to see if I can fix it or get a replacment motor from Midea because it's fall where I am, it's going into storage for me until Summer.
