Why buy this battery pack if you have eneloop?

Because you can charge this by just plugging a usb c cable into the controller, no need to take the battery(s) out to charge it.

I got this for $6 when it was on sale 2 weeks ago. It functions similar to when I was using rechargeable eneloops previously. the battery never appears as 100% charged, but it's nice to be able to recharge my controller through the USB C port now

Can't complain. if the battery pack ends up dying in a year, I'll still have the eneloops to go back to

You can keep using the controller while this battery charges, as it can charge directly from the controller being plugged into USB C. It's more convenient than wiring the controller to keep playing, but having to remove the batteries and place them in a separate charger to recharge.

I've not used this particular one, but I've tried 3 or 4 different 3rd party rechargeable packs throughout the years, and none of them were usable beyond an extremely short period of time. The batteries end up with an hour or two of capacity. If anyone has experience with this one specifically, that's obviously more relevant, but I've stopped paying attention to deals like this because of my experience with similar products.

I can't help but wonder how many of those "open box used" deals are actually people whose battery stopped working well, so they bought a new one, and returned the old one in the box.

The linked deal is not open box, but there is an option for that which people referenced in this thread.

I ordered the linked product, and shipping was free for me.

For the one who doesn't like these. Costco has Energizer charger with 4 AA batteries and 2 AAA batteries for $10. Li-ion and not NiMH
