When the goal is to make more money, but they plan to piss people off, credit accounts AND waste a metric f*ckton of payroll hours. Corporate logic.

So I currently have simple choice with 7 lines for $140 before tax (3 promo lines). All the Go plans are twice the price. Should I opt out or switch to Essentials?

They will be dragged into court by all of us who opted out of arbitration. I can see the sharks circling to sign us up for class action.

Remember that T-Mobile told us over and over that our plans were locked in place. I'd be careful about taking the $25 from them. You might be agreeing to different contract terms.

I'm on Simple Choice with 6 lines+1 watch line for $120 before taxes/fees. This forced switch is gonna hurt.

I switched to ATT earlier in the year, they suck, seriously. T-Mobile was way better in terms of signals strength and bandwidth. I'm even on Firstnet, and it's pretty much a joke.

ONE plan shows 5 increase but offset with autopay. So no increase?

The free lines better stay free.

Thanks for reminding me to opt out - I was a couple of days away from my 30-day limit to do so and had totally forgotten about that tab I had left open!

There is no universe in which T-Mobile works better than att. Having said that, yes there are likely to be spots where a T-Mobile tower is closer to you than att one is.

If you do indeed have issues with att, I suggest you go into a store and have your phone settings and SIM card updated.

What phone are you using BTW?

I was using an S23 Ultra, and now a Pixel 7 pro, both Firstnet certified. I was using an esim on the S23 and physical sim on the Pixel. I just got back from the Carolinas and it was even worse back there vs southern California.

T-Mobile plans affected:
  • One
  • Simple Choice
  • Magenta
  • Magenta 55 Plus

The 60 days opt out window only applies to newer plans with Price Lock. If your plan doesn't have price lock it isn't clear how long you've to opt out right now.

Price Lock doesn't really lock in your plan price. If you check the fine print, it just covers your final month's service charges if you disagree with any price changes. They protected themselves from the beginning when they introduced Price Lock.
