I did the chat on the 13th (opted out and got $25 credit) and nothing for me either. I think people who did the optout are still supposed to get the text alert.

I guess T-Mobile learned their lesson after tons of redditors/sders bombarded them with calls to opt-out. In the end, TM lost money as they gave credit to lots of users... i got $50 credit as well.

Damn, talk about a muckery of how a biz can ruin their name as it took Mike Sievert a while to build and with this migration non-sense, it left a bad taste among lots of consumers, including me!

So they will change your plan without noticing you? They would lose more money from lawsuit, right?

spoke to t-mobile last night and was informed that they "cancelled this migration plan" since it received such negative feedback. So I'd be surprised if anyone gets any notice from here on out.

No, they are NOT going with the migration plan... That means, nothing changes and everything stays as it is!

I saw this migration on the news so unless we get an official statement, it's happening.

From a long time T-Mobile customer who has dealt with them.. never trust that the reps don't lie or know what they are talking about. Better to be safe and opt out and then confirm it at least once.

Wow, I didn't even notice about this until I saw the article on Yahoo today. I'm on One Plan Unlimited 55 and haven't gotten any msg or email regarding the migration. I pay a flat rate of $60 (taxes & fees included) for 2 lines. If they do this migration, they would put us in the the ridiculous Go5G Next which would be $170!

Glad to see that they scrapped the migration. What in the world to make them think that migrating to a more expensive plan is good for the consumers. I hope someone will get fired over this.

TMO employees leaked a new memo from the CEO calling this farce a "test", so I would have to think all legacy plans eventually will be forced to move to a newer plan. I can see our fees increasing to make it comparable to a current plan that is offered

Here is a response from TMobile customer care this morning
" Thank you for reaching out to us today and as if you have received any notification for that please ignore that and no need to worry. The great news is that T-Mobile has dropped the Plan migration part and now no Customer will be migrated to new plan as we value our Customers and we got the feedback from them and we have dropped that idea. so Rest assured there will be no increase in your Plan charges and no changes will be made on the account without your consent."
