Last month, Kroger had Progresso Soups for 82 cents a can with digital coupon and Eye-Botta's cashback. Capped at 6 cans. That is gone for now, but is was a steal.
Kroger has Progresso Soups (up to 5 cans) for 99 each this week.
This week, Publix has Progresso soups BOBO (up to a $3.22 value). They also have a 50 cent digital coupon and there is a $1 off 4 coupon. That brings it pretty close to the price. Sure, a few cents more and limited to 8 cans (per checkout), but you don't have to eat 12 cans of the same kind of soup too.
Note: Go to Progresso's website [progresso.com]. They give you recipes on how to make your own Italian Wedding soup (two different versions).
If I buy canned soup, I stick to Campbell's Chunky Soup, Wicked Thai Style Chicken with Rice and Vegetables Soup. I get them when they go on sale for around $1.33 a can.

I just don't like returning things frequently at Amazon as supposedly there's a return threshold [reddit.com] before your account is either limited or banned...

My point is that if you do this too often your account will be banned or so the paranoid inference goes.
The exact threshold is unknown. But I'm assuming if you are returning several relatively low costs items a month and are costing Amazon more in shipping and replacement/refund costs than what you're spending then you're going to get hit with the ban hammer...

Unlike expensive items that can be sold at a discount as used/refurbished; food items are not salvageable as they can't be resold or returned ergo it's a complete loss for Amazon.
All I'm saying is be careful with frequent returns as people can and do get banned. Having a few cans arrive slightly dented is acceptable IMO and not worth jeopardizing your Amazon account over.
Amazon deals with me in good faith and I try to reciprocate that; a few slightly dented cans doesn't ruin the deal IMO...

You can be rich or you can be right. Amazon wants to be rich, the cost of a ban is far worse than a short-term loss on one customer.

Unless you are mass returning super expensive items and Amazon suspects fraud you are fine to return things.

Deride me if you wish but I'm not the only one warning of being banned for too many returns. A quick Google [google.com] search proves this point.
It seems the current consensus is that returning over 10% of items purchased [jagroverland.com] in a year is the threshold for Amazon's undisclosed banning policy. IMO it's good advice not to return or ask for refunds too often and keep the 10% threshold in mind.
Out of an estimated 50 purchases, I've already returned 5 times in a 30 day period for items arriving damaged or not as described. (E.G. Incorrect quantity; only one was received when a 6 pack was purchased). I just hope you can empathize why I don't stress over a few slightly damaged/dented cans and risk possibly getting on Amazon's radar for too many returns.

The good thing about Amazon is that there's a decent chance of them honoring price mistakes; especially on S&S. Just be careful and not get too greedy plus use some common sense.
IE don't go crazy on S&S price mistakes for multi-pack items that are priced for a single. IMO you could get the attention of Amazon's Ban Hammer if trying to do multiple returns at once because the incorrect quantity was sent for example....
