From buying the first VR, I'd wait to get this till more games come out.

I have a feeling this will be half the price by next year due to the cost and the niche that VR is.

From the sounds of it this was a failure and I have my doubts about new games coming out. No one wants to spend more on a headset than the PS5 itself.

I was planning to abstain, but I did also have the $50 off $100 and the $200 Platinum perk, so it works out to $250 if I factor in the $100 gift card. Might as well!

Sony has a long history of riding the popular trend at the moment, then ditching it quickly once they realize it's just a "trend"

ie... the first ps3 controllers that had motion controls, the ps3 move controllers, umd's for the psp- just a few I can think of off the top of my head..

- I forgot about it awhile and wasn't in a rush to use it.

Maybe this weekend!
I did the same, and just sold it on Ebay.

I was never gonna open it at the current rate. I still have a backlog to get through (Horzion, GoW, Gran Turismo)

It's just the cost.

My PSVR was literally a Beat Saber machine. The games were fun that came out with them but the problem was that they had no replay value and there was a limited amount of them.

It's sad that I own almost all the PSVR games for the PS4 because they were either free online or I could pick them all up for $10 each. While I own almost all of them, many of them are still sealed because they were not good games and were $5 at Gamestop.

As for the VR itself, I really enjoyed it. I like VR but it's like the Kinect in that the games just aren't there and companies don't want to spend money on them because the market is so niche. Beat Saber was just Guitar Hero fun with that replay value.

I remember that ps3 controller with the built in gyro. They opted out of the rumble feedback for that, and then quickly brought the dualshock3 back

I didn't open my old ps vr with ironman bundle yet. I told myself I would get around to it someday…. :-/ The only VR Experience I had was at Reunion tower in Dallas when vacationing. Thought it was pretty neat.

What are you talking about? The move controllers were continue to be used for PS4 PSVR, I still have them synced to my PS5 for PSVR1. All PS3 controllers have motion controls, it's just the first ones lacked rumble as well. PS4 and PS5 controllers also support it. UMD maybe but it served the handheld generation, some games even could only be obtained on UMD and weren't available digitally (legally).

Iron Man VR is great, but I suggest playing it via PS5 BC, the load times on the PS4 are atrocious, which is even more pronounced when you're in VR and can't doomscroll on your phone. The PS5 speeds them up significantly.

I waited to get the psvr1 once I was able to get a new bundle for $250. It was semi fun ( I get quite a lot of vr sickness) and over a year I played almost every major game on it, so maybe 20-30 games, but the majority were probably rated around a 7/10. It had some great games like beat saber but most ended up being fairly mediocre. Like you said, eventually all I did was play beat saber so I ended up selling it for the same $250 I paid.

Part of me wants to get a psvr2 like this deal but there are hardly any new games for it, let alone must plays, so I'm worried it will end up like psvr1.

Amex 120 off 599 should be applicable to this deal?
