This looks almost exactly like the Pit Boss one with a different lid that costs a little less. This was on sale at Walmart for $138 a few months back.

It shows brisket in the pictures on Amazon. Just will not be able to do a 15 lb monster without cutting it in half (blaspheme...JK). Reviews state that it runs hotter than the set temp by + or - 20 degrees, which can effect your cook times. Does not appear to have an app with it, which is a draw back to me. I like the set it and forget it option for the the days where I can't claim to be watching the cook and drinking beers.

this model apparently has 256 square inches of cooking surface, based on the description. this works out to something like 18"x14"

i have a ninja woodfire smoker that has 15"x11" dimensions, so even smaller than the cuisinart, and i just smoked a brisket that was just under 5lbs and i had room to spare. should be good to go unless you're hosting a party

I bought a very similar Z Grills portable pellet grill and smoker (they are probably all made side by side in the same factory with minor cosmetics differences). It works pretty well, just have to be aware that even at low temps, the heat source is pretty direct since the firepot sits immediately below the grate and can only be shielded so much in a small unit. I have to be a little more careful about spritzing or wrapping to avoid have the outer surface of whatever I'm smoking dry out.

Do a small one, or split the point and flat. Or do chuck roasts, still comes out great with bark and smoke ring.

The not so "poor mans" brisket. Some people prefer it those because they do not have to make a such a large hunk of meat every time. Poor mans burnt ends are good also. Tri-tip is pretty good also.

This looks to be the same as the Pit Boss Table Top model PB150PPG that's $197 at Walmart. I paid $154 in May 2022. It is hard to the temp to go over 400 and maintain.

I love my PB150…..just made two 8lb pork butts in it last weekend. I run them hot and fast on the 400 deg setting which is about 350 internal. Tons of smoke because it is not PID. Totally worth $197 for sure!

Agreed. I also have the PB150 but got it on sale last July from Walmart for $138. It included the cover, too. Does a great job smoking & searing for a small pellet grill.

i'd recommend a fullsize if your on the fence and have room. i started w one this size and upgraded soon after. these little ones get dirty real easy and since the fire box is so close to everything you can get flareups very easy if it isn't really clean or if your cooking something greasy ( like burgers). my fullsize is much more forgiving than the little one. you can get some good cooks on this but you just need to be more careful. the little ones are super efficient.

much nicer but still small pellet grill also on sale. of course it costs 2x the price. https://www.recteq.com/products/r...p3EALw_wcB

Gas and a pellet tube or maze is a better option.

I have a full size. I have been looking at more portable ones lately and reviews are all over the board for these tabletop ones. You can get into the ones that are bigger, "tailgater" sized ones, but most of those are too tall to fit in a pickup bed with the cover closed. Would love to find a good one that would easily fit in my pickup bed.
