Wow! 210 dimming zones. 120 Hz with VRR. 75".

Specs look good, but my M658-G1 from 2019 gets better results at the RTINGS site...

Plus, the biggest scores this model got was for gaming. While TV, movies, sports all scored even lower...

Doesn't mean it's not a nice set, but I'm looking to upgrade my current set.

Great TV! I bought one of these 6 years ago for considerably more money, and absolutely loved it (I upgraded , and gifted this to a family member). This is a steal at this price. The P-series is Vizio's flagship model line, and give you a great picture with vibrant colors and deep blacks for an excellent home theater experience.
This demon can time travel. Kudos to you

Got a 75" 2020 PQX and the user interface is trashed. Good price on this TV for its FALD + size, but the GUI is absolutely abysmal.

About once every 3 months I have to unplug it from the wall and plug it back in. I'd avoid if your budget allows, but it's a lot of TV for the money (other than it's user interface).

Agreed this tv was not sold 6 years ago. Maybe a P series, yes… but not this model…

That 210 number is interesting, it's for the 21' model, the P series on Vizio's website says it has up to 792 which is far more than the one rtings reviewed back in 2021. This tv would destroy that set in terms of image quality.

Keep in mind that the ratings shouldn't be compared year to year, and the longer the gap, the less reliable they are. You can't compare these two TVs grade to grade. They update their methodologies numerous times a year and increase their standards over time. That 2019 TV was tested 6 methodology versions earlier than the 2021 TV.

I mean just think about it logically - any TV more than a few years old is going to have obsolete tech. Five years ago 7000:1 native contrast was great. Today you'll find that smoked by the S4 TCL - the bottom of their lineup.. A 10.0 graded TV from 2014 is going to get it's butt kicked by any midrange 7.5 TV in 2023.

So funny I was just looking at tvs last night because my 2019 Vizio just broke. I was hoping to figure out what is the lowest level 2023 tv I could get that would be better than my old one but like you say it's comparing apples to oranges

I know editing old reviews isn't practical but I wish there was some way to normalize

Appreciate the link, but the review of the 2021 Vizio is for the 65 inch (which is a VA screen). The review specifically says that the 75 is an IPS screen, and they anticipate it will perform differently. (My guess is that the UI still is sub-optimal, though!)

Vizio TVs are no longer able to get OTA channels. They force you into their crappy streaming service

This or Hisense U8H? Has a 75' Hisense dipped to this price before?
