If you have ever thought about trying BF2042, 10 bucks is a really good price. It's not like you can't refund if it's not for you. Form your own opinion, don't let vocal detractors decide for you.



Battlebit is infested with cheaters in a way that makes literally every other game I play (including TARKOV.... and it's a lonnnng list) look impenetrable by comparison. OkiDoki has literally acknowledged this and confirmed. Instead of actually working toward a real solution and hiring more help to sort it out (they can afford it now.... (simple math, on avg 25% of copies purchased leave a review for early access games... so approximately 350k sales at 15 a pop,,,, around 5.25 million in sales... minus valve's 30% cut which as of now should be somewhere in the neighborhood of 1.6 mil.... leaves them approx 3.7 million dollars for a 3 man team...around 1.25 mil each) they talk about totally upending the community with different yet equally ineffective ac that will block half their active (steam deck) players from further accessing.. and somehow they can record all of your activity on your pc whilst you play but they can't spend 150k between the 3 of them to hire a dedicated team of mods to help clean things up. Applause

NTM it's bleeeeding players. Barely breaking 10k players on the weekends, down from 85k a month ago

A lot of negative reviews on steam... I tried the beta when it came out but ended up refunding the game.
No idea if the game is any better now.

I haven't played 2042 or 2142 but I do regret not buying BF2 on Steam before it was removed. I think BF2 and 2142 were on the same engine. I miss that game!

It was like $3-4 on ps4 but I didn't even got it for that.
Time is something you can't get back and I don't want to waste it if most people complain about it.
I believe there was a tournament and it showed some glitches it was funny...

I loved both games, I'm assuming they are both still available on the EA launcher. 2142 was an odd duck compared to BF2, the flying fortress things were really cool to me and added a new element but I think was just too different for your typical modern era (COD type) shooter fan. They want something that mirrors reality. Nothing wrong with that but the futuristic stuff (beyond just drones, guides missiles, etc) added something different to the game play.*

*Honestly real world drone tech now is probably years beyond where it was depicted back then. Cool and scary.

It's at least much better than when released. The performance is much improved. The graphics actually look great considering the hardware requirements, especially compared to something like Starfield.
