Not a whole lot outside of using Echelon's Fitness app unless you decide to try to modify the tablet. I did that for the Echelon Connect Sport-S from a Walmart deal a while ago, but it's a lot of work and frankly I wish I had the model without a tablet like the EX-3 to use with my own tablet.

You can find the instructions in this very long post in XDA's forum.

That said, the bike itself is a great exercise bike for the price and has enough resistant for what most people probably want/need.

I bought the EX-5s with the 22 inch screen from the first Woot deal. If I was to do it over, I'd buy the screenless version and use a cheap (Fire) tablet or phone.

Great bike. EX-3 has the potential for auto-resistance if used with Peloton and https://www.qzfitness.com/.

You would need subscription to access its features.

Doesn't the 13$ subscription only let you do three cycling classes a month?

I'll never understand how companies thought that business model would work

I have EX5s with 10" and I can access all classes without subscription. I have never updated the echelon app, the only downside is the app does not keep track of my activity. I am using Strava so it doesn't bother me as much.

Would these work with Zwift? Been eyeing the stages bike SB20, but these are MUCH cheaper.

Just wanna do a little racing online.

This is an incredible price for an incredible bike. Use it with the QZ app and you have a fully functional Peloton bike with Auto Resistance. Highly recommended.

I 100% agree with this. Every single update mine (same model as the deal) disconnects and i have to unplug it for a day to get it to reconnect, feels like i have to drain the Bluetooth battery, because if you did not know the bike is jsut connecting to the tablet via Bluetooth. they are not wired together. So if you lose Bluetooth or have a Bluetooth connection issue, the tablet does nothing. To make matters worse, i started using the bike without the tablet as it annoyed me but if you stop peddling the resistance will reset.

My opinion, dont get one that requires a screen.

I have also tried to root this. I have gotten into the android screen but they have updated it to make it harder to root now. I want their fitness overlay with youtube in the background. But this is nearly impossible without a lot of custom code.
