If you prefer a different look, Newegg also has the ORICO 2.5 inch External Hard Drive Enclosure USB3.0 to SATAIII 5Gbps HDD SSD Storage Case for 7mm 9.5mm SATA HDD SSD Max 6TB Support UASP protocols and TRIM for $4.95.

Is there any TECHNICAL differences or preferences between ORICO 2.5 and the subject of this thread?
Need it for SATA III SSD.
Thanks
I bought the Orico one a month or so ago just to test if NoEgg could get me something faster than what it takes from China. To my surprise NoEgg beet china by a day.
The Orico is a TIGHT fit and I would not recommend it if you plan to remove the HD often. The first drive I stuck in it came up not recognized, so I am kind of leery until I find a drive I don't care about. It kind of looks like a WD pasport case, but it is no where near that in terms of quality. It seems quite cheaply made.

This deal seems better as the Orico supports up to 6tb compared to the Rosewill which only has 1tb; thanks for the recommendation.
Hoping to use the enclosure to attach a 1TB WD NAS Pro SSD I got for $40 to an old Nighthawk RAX38v2 router's USB 3 port to make into a ghetto NAS. I already have a NAS of course but I'm curious if my strange and completely unnecessary idea would work...

If you plan on using different drives I would not recommend using an enclosure. Get a USB to SATA adapter. Plug and play whenever you need to use an external drive. These are more for keeping a drive set in place and secured semi-permanently, like say using as storage for a NAS.

TBH IDK. The specs are there in each link. You can use Newegg's compare function to possibly see the differences that matter to you.
