Nice. Almost as hot as the clearance deal on the same model back in July/Aug.

There's a little CB available at Northern, if you look around.

Same here. They are getting extremely efficient in their cancellation processes. I'm just glad that I can help out and test the integrity of that company every quarter.

HD, MaxTool, and Acme - y'all keep shining and I'll keep spending.

I own both and keep going to the m12 instead of the m18 in this deal.

Both are good but the m12 is smaller and has alot of power. Takes my 150 ft lb lug nuts off no problem.

2554-20 m12 fuel 3/8 impact

2555-20 m12 fuel 1/2 impact

They go on sale fairly regulary at HD

I believe the M12 Fuel 3/8" Stubby has the same torque rating as this one.

For this price, it's easy to justify whichever one.. This M18 has the new 3.0 high output battery too which is nice if you're wanting to get your foot in the door for M18 stuff. If an M12 one came with both of the newer 2.5 or 5.0 AH around this price that'd be a solid deal.

I do like my 2554-20 M12 3/8". It's nice and compact, and doesn't have a problem on lugs tightened to around 100 ft-lbs. I was thinking this stubby M18 would do better (i.e. faster / fewer initial impacts to break a lug), but maybe that's not the case. I kept trying to get this 'kit' from Home Depot clearance at/around this price (they had 4) but only after I'd given up & visited again did I see the empty spot and the $125 label lol

Yeah, it's still a good deal if you're into Milwaukee 18v ecosystem.

Personally I think the best combo for power and sales/price is Dewalts 60v/20v system, as you see lots of sales on those across many vendors. Also they really have the only really competitive ~60v products that's batteries are compatible with the 20v tools.

But in addition to that I do also have Milwaukees 12v lineup on my bench as they hands down really have the best 12v system of all the brands (both in product lineup and sales). Dewalt and Bosch 12v is weak in available tools, expensive and never goes on sale

Yep, crazy broad selection of tools including tools targeted at professionals, like their PEX expander. It makes up the majority of my battery powered tools.

i like dewalt pricing, i LOVE dewalts battery selection (far better than milwaukee's), but i don't like dewalt tools. the DCF900 impact is powerful, you can get it for $200 with a 5ah battery, but i still went with the new gen milwaukee high torque 2967 because it's like 2" shorter, way lighter and more powerful. also, it has a 5 year warranty. dewalt is 3 years, but they make you pay for repairs after the 1st year

i still have some dewalt tools in addition to my red stuff. have the DCF510 ratchet, that has a changeable attachment. you can make it 1/4", 3/8" or 1/2". i love this thing, especially with the small power stack. wish Milwaukee made something like this instead of the junk "insider" wrench. i also wish milwaukee would make a super compact 2ah-ish stacked lithium battery for lower power tools, like 1/4" impacts

PS: thanks mods for making this front page. just redeemed another free hoody i can beat up at work. lol
