Kotaku has by far the worst writers and takes out of the "major" gaming sites. It's the equivalent of a tabloid with less editorial standards.

I wouldn't make purchasing decisions off of their content.

If anyone is interested, there is also a free demo available on Steam. But the game seems to be getting great reviews so far.

I played a couple hours of the demo, and it's actually a lot of fun. Even has side quests and some minor open world elements.

The game has zero reviews because it's too early and the review embargo hasn't lifted yet. Those are previews and opinions based on demos.

I agree. I think it is a mix of clickbait hate and, as with a lot of gaming reviews, playing way too many. Way too much hate for traditional mechanics. The tyranny of novelty.

Watched someone stream the demo a couple weeks back. The download for just the beta was really big and it had a lot of cut scenes. He seemed to enjoy it and it was definitely very campy.

CDKeys is legit, much more so than enuba.

It's a fun game but something is missing. Feels like a game the average person will quit after 2 levels. The demo was enough for me.

i saw someone playing a demo and the cutscenes look terrible, like not qc'd. game looks short and repetitive too

RoboCop is about real estate developers wreaking havoc on the local population, the dangers of militaristic security and policing especially when coupled with automation, and what it means to be human.

So it's wild to me that this looks like a mindless shoot 'em up where you go on a killing spree, but maybe it's fun?
