This is hard, most of these are using pouch cells.

Anyone have experience folding this and carrying it on a subway? Would that be advised?
I use the older hover 1 (no speaker, no suspension) and you can carry it on the subway. It just depends on how packed it is. It does fit under most seats.

Both still in stock for me.

The Gotrax scooter has bigger tires.
And physical brakes. The hover 1 is a Regen brake I think. It works well, but certainly not high performance.

I'd be sure the warranty covers return shipping. Mine didn't which made the warranty worthless. Good luck finding a local shop that repairs these. I couldn't find even one.

3 year warranty can be added for $22 -

worth it for those who will use it heavily imo.
How does the Walmart warranty work? Do you have to pay for shipping?

I use lime scooters here in town to get to and from work from time to time. I'm looking for something like a lime as they seem well built, are outside all the time so they take abuse from riders and weather, ok battery, and speed. Does anyone know of one I can buy that is similar to a Lime? I have a budget of 500.

Don't know. I bought a 3 year warranty for a scooter about the same price at walmart, but I haven't had to use it as the scooter still works fine after 2 years.

If I needed to pay for shipping to send it back, I'd include a CD in the box and send it by USPS media mail, for the cheapest price possible. laugh out loud

For $428 this is the best deal currently imo:
https://slickdeals.net/f/16998580-hiboy-s2-pro-electric-scooter-500w-motor-19-mph-25-miles-range-10-solid-tires-for-428-free-shipping?

10" solid tires (no flats but bumpy ride) , 19 mph, 25 mile range, 220 lbs weight capacity, scooter weighs 36 lbs.

I have the older model of this same scooter which supports a maximum weight of 265 lbs and "only" has a 350 watt motor, but I find it to be plenty powerful. I've had the scooter for 3 years with no issues at all.

I wouldn't leave it outside in the rain without covering it in plastic though, assuming it's in a secure location. Also, I'm not familiar with Lime scooters but I doubt there is anything better than this for $427 right now.

I'd say you can get away with 235 lbs on the KS4 Pro even though it also lists 220 lbs max weight, since it's much larger, heavier and sturdier than the GoTrax.
It is also faster, has a lot more range but is much more expensive:

https://slickdeals.net/f/17001877-hiboy-ks4-pro-updated-s2-pro-electric-scooter-500w-19-mph-25-miles-range-10-solid-tires-for-376?v=1#

If you buy it, stand with your feet as far back as possible to put the least amount of stress on the components most likely to break, imo. I've had the older model of this same scooter that lists a 265 lbs weight limit for 3 years. I was about your weight when I first got it, and I'm 220 lbs now.

This will not be cheaper on Black Friday imo, mark my words. Best case scenario it will be the same price,
but I bet it will be more expensive, as will anything else with comparable specs and decent quality.

I'll be back to chime in after Black Friday when I'm proven right, once again. nod
I've never been wrong about such a prediction here, ever.
