I've had 2 of this exact scooter and have used it basically everyday for the last 6 or so months. For $200 this is a no brainer, especially if it's your first electric scooter. It's a good product, i will say, after 3 months, and changing the back tire inner tube 3 times, I decided to trade in and get a new one. I've had this new one for about a month and it's really just awesome toy. I will be honest, and after owning one for this long, I'm desiring more power recently. But, I bring my 5 year old son along, and he stands and holds onto the handlebars. You can fold this thing up, pop it in the car, and basically have like a 10 mile range from your vehicle. I live in a hilly area, and want more power for some steeper hills. You can full throttle and push the scooter with your feet up steep hills, and it's nice having the assistance, but for really not enough once you reach a certain angle. This is the lowest price ive seen, I would definitely opt in for the warranty. Doubt the battery would last that long under heavy use. Another thing about this scooter, is it's completely silent, even full throttle, and it's profile is so sleek, it's hard to tell if there's a battery compartment. My wife has a 500w from a different company, believe this is a 250w, but hers is loud, and beefy. It's definitely faster though, hers has 3 gears and gets up to 24mph, but it was $200 more. Another thing that's great is its cruise control. You can set it full throttle, or going 2mph. I'll walk with people sometimes, just creeping along, but it's great being able to lock it at a slow speed. I bought this thing completely on a whim and have been so happy I did.

That's why the 3 year warranty for $22 makes sense imo.

Got my mine today. The latching mechanism for folding is not intuitive and the fender hook is sus..made of plastic and you have to bend it to release... ticking time bomb before it breaks.

On the fence here

Pardon the dumb question, but I'm seeing people in this thread saying they are 250 lbs riding these so I'm (a) wondering what a 50lb kid needs more power for as the primary user and (b) if more power can be had for a similar price? Trust me, I'm not trying to be a smart alec here—if more power is needed that is what I will research and chase after. But I'm really afraid that my kids aren't going to ride these a ton so at $200 it's already a pretty steep investment. I'm about 215lbs so if it isn't optimized to me but I save $100 on each one, that's a win.
Just get the Razor A series with big wheels, their $25-45 each during holidays, hold 250lbs, last 10-20 years. Useful for college campus, 1-2 mile commutes.
no batteries needed, you can install rubber wheels for wet conditions

How much is real cost to charge this electric scooters ? my daily commute to station is only 3mile and wondering if this can be sustainable for longer term instead of using car

I don't have offhand numbers but if I remember right, my ebike might only cost ten cents or something to recharge... Now, the value of that is great - but only if it proves to be reliable and actually last you long enough

Thanks.
I found some answers on other forums too. Looks like the most ev- scooter's battery lasts up to 2 years at best if you charge/use it daily bases.
Right out of the bet I will sure save $5 for parking. In a way it looks tempting.

How many claims can you make in the 2-3 yr period? Is there any additional cost to the consumer like shipping? Wondering about typical turn around time as well...

Is it true that Allstate(?) won't do business for you for two years after you've made claims with them? I've seen people say that concerning extended warranties from them that were paired with DJI drones at least.

Concern for the Allstate thing with this is that I have a TV I might need to return that is covered with accidental damage, and if there's a limit on claims per person/separate items, then I'd rather just plan to do the TV claim and not this one

Great questions, but I have no idea.. maybe contact Allstate.

Good luck.

No Battery protection included - battery is the weakest link on GoTrax.
This exactly. My gotrax gxl v2 battery just died. It powers on when plugged in but when unplugged it just dies. I believe the battery needs replacing, its been 3 years light use but plugged in all the time. $135 to replace the battery ouch!

Tempted on the target deal, but anyway to get better insurance? The Walmart insurance was only $22 for 3 years compared to targets $54 for 2 years
