What do you mean? P series are Thinkpads.

Are you asking how these compare to Thinkpad T series and their Dell equivalent?

These are Thinkpads after all, so they have equivalent build quality and similar (or identical) design as the T series. If the model ends in "s" then it's a "slim" design. In the case of the P14s and P16s, these slim designs are identical to the T14 and T16, except the P series has a more aggressive thermal profile. They will be slightly louder and will have slightly worse battery life, in an effort to have better performance.

I think the P and T series Thinkpads have better and more durable construction than anything from Dell in their Precision line.

Seems like a fantastic deal.
If my X13 Ryzen Gen2 weren't still rocking, I'd have jumped on this.

Update: Unable to replicate. I see
$1389 without Perks discount
$1139 with Perks discount (WSDEALS13 does not apply) <-- still a decent deal.

It's WSDEAL13, not WSDEALS13.

Thanks. Typo in the comment, however, I did copy/paste when I'd tried to apply it.
Perks doesn't seem to like it, at least in my case.

The P16s is similarly priced using the same coupons:
https://www.lenovo.com/us/en/p/la...21k9001mus

P16s shows up as $1037, and P14s shows up as $977 with additional id.me discount.

Almost pulled the trigger, but neither model has a second m.2 slot for storage, unlike my current Legion 7. I need a second drive, since I use it for windows file history backup, and don't want to rely on sketchy work arounds.

Idk why you guys are using perks at work when it's not mentioned in the description.
The price is only with the mentioned coupons.

Looks really powerful configuration. Anyone with P series experience shed some light about how it is compared to Precision and ThinkPad series?

I'd like to know as well. Got a Asus Zenbook 14x as open box excellent. But have wanting to go back to Thinkpad. Also this one is about $300 more for 64GB of memory and 1TB SSD.

Would you recommend p14s or p16s?

They're the same laptop, just with different screen sizes. You need to decide based on what is more comfortable for you to carry around.

Personally I go for 16" display laptops, because the incremental increase in folded up dimensions are totally worth the trade off to have a bigger screen and number pad.

However, if your use case is to always use an external display, and you just carry the laptop back and forth between locations, then the screen dimensions don't mean very much.

Do you typically get Lenovo warranty? The "few" reviews on the Lenovo website on P16s doesn't look all that great.

P series are typically classified as mobile workstation. Dell akin is Precision 5xxx and above.
Precision is MacBook-sque like built, p series looks like a military grade weapon. I have both.
