Thanks OP,

Had to remove the Support as others did for ID.me and the coupons to work.

$1243 - 100 from AMEX - 2% CB ~around 1120 tax included. Pretty slick to me!

Now just have to get rid of my Legion 5 6600h and 3060.

Dr. W - looking at this week's deals, it appears I got the deal of the month with that Lenovo for $1009 you posted in the middle of the night. I paired it with the LG $200 34" ultra wide monitor on prime day, hooked up up with DisplayPort to USB-C, and sure beats my old setup (MX250 graphics and 24" 60 Hz monitor). I do see an ASUS TUF on Best Buy with a 4070 that looks interesting (although this was $999.99 new a couple months ago).

Can you link to the Lenovo you got for $1009?

Not available anymore, it was the typically higher priced Intel version: https://slickdeals.net/f/16976926-lenovo-legion-pro-5i-open-box-excellent-16-qhd-240hz-i7-13700hx-rtx-4070-16gb-ddr5-1tb-ssd-1009-99?src=SiteSearchV2Algo

If I were to buy one today, I'd go with the open box excellent one here, for $985.99:

https://www.bestbuy.com/site/asus...Id=6535503

Not as good ram (ddr4 only) and lower quality display. Best deals are at midnight on Monday. Search open box, and filter. I actually bought the Alienware first, then cancelled after Dr. W found me the Lenovo for $1009.

I can't stack the CELEBRATE2023 and EXTRA5 coupons after applying ID.me. When I try to input both, I get a message at the top saying "Threshold coupon(CELEBRATE2023) not applicable."
I've removed the 1-year support from the cart already.
Has anyone been able to apply both of the above coupons and the ID.me discount?

How long do you think the battery would last for gaming?
The battery lasts me about 2 Hours and some change with battery tweaks and "Balanced" profile. Don't need 100's FPS I'm happy with fluid 60fps for most of my games.

Worst customer support ever
Just had a session with their Lenovo Legion customer support and wasn't that bad at all. I think YMMV. Have premium Lenovo support. These days I've had issues with all the big ones. Only having paid support making the process less troublesome.

Codes were previously stackable with ID.me discount but Lenovo manually fixed it

I'm looking for a new gaming laptop and this seems to be a good deal for 4070. Does anyone think Black Friday deals will be better?

Can anyone attest to the build quality on these Legion gaming systems? Debating getting one for ft software development. Gaming rights typically have better specs for the $$$. Thanks!

One of the best quality prebuilts. The case accepts ATX mobo's. The installed custom MSI mobo is XMP locked by BIOS for stability reasons, but is reliable and fully replaceable. Airflow is great.

This or Acer Nitro 16 RTX 4070? Acer is cheaper by $90.
I like Lenovo better because the screen is 500 nits. That is much brighter and it is beautiful. I already have 2 very similar Lenovo laptops and we're very happy with them.
