I had this, broke after a couple of months. Inside wires literally melted and caused a lot of smoke a burning smell. Lots of similar issues online. let me save you the trouble. DO NOT BUY

That's probably not true, if you're doing espresso very often, it makes sense to get a better machine. I wouldn't half way upgrade, though.

You're better off seeing if you can buy a used Gaggia classic pro or Rancilio Silvia. These machines are repairable, with literally every single part available, they will last a lifetime with proper maintenance.

You probably also want a better grinder if you want better coffee.

On topic: this machine looks cute, and I've had good experience with quisinart appliances, but I doubt they'll have the parts supply that more specialized brands have.

I bought a cheap one for about $30 last bf, been using it but its a plastic machine and it feels cheap, sometimes it feels like its going to melt. Not sure if its worth spending $90 for a name brand to get the stainless. Pretty sure the coffee taste the same no matter what machine I use.

Agree. These low end espresso machines don't last very long, especially if the wrong type of water is used and scaling builds up in the heating block.

I saved up and bought a Gaggia after reading a similar recommendation on Slickdeals last year. No regrets at all. Of course, we had to upgrade our grinder too, so it was a lot more expensive. But the consistent and delicious coffee I have every morning totally justifies the expense!

No. Once you go non-pressurized baskets, the quality coffee a machine can produce will separate espresso machines between each other.

Big factors that separate cheap machines like this from the more expensive are temperature control, pressure control, water distribution, etc.

But for a beginner or those that are skimming the surface for coffee, then coffee will probably taste the same and you won't care to increase the quality of your coffee..:. and theres nothinf wrong with that.

15 Bars of pressure. Not a bad machine for the price.
