My dollar store has 3 different color base plates if you're looking for cheaper alternatives.

Lego brand is also 10" x 10", so Dollar Tree ones are the same dimensions. Off-brand baseplates are more likely to warp, but at 25% of the price, the dollar tree plates look like the better deal. However, comments on the dollar tree website say that the wrong colors are often delivered, so better to buy in person.
