This made me order the machine last night after I added the 5090 and PSU. since it was below $4000 to get a 5090 "PC"
I activated cash-back so I should be getting another 2% back (1% Credit Card, 1% Cash back website)? $ 78.83
$3941.62 - 78.83 = $3862 before tax. It's $262 more before my best Omen 5090 purchase when I started buying but I'm buying it!
We will have to wait until 6/30 to 7/3 for delivery. They don't ship[ until 6/25 or 6/26.

Funny since Dr W seems to hates HP when he posted other 5090 deals from other companies. I guess a deal is a deal. I'll shill cheap 5090 sales any day from any vendor.
I didn't upgrade since I don't use the GPU much, I have a Intel 285K and a 9950X3D and the CPUs are always below 15% utilization but I don't game. I will swap the 9950X3D into one of these, I like the Omen box with AIO Watercooling over the rig my 9950X3D is in today (air cooled! omg) and only 1000 watt PSU garbage.
He hated the last Gen yes and a year ago.

Ooops sorry about that. I thought it was basically saying you would never buy an HP Omen which to me meant what I thought it meant.
This is a good deal, I got 2 since I have it for $174.50 cheaper for some reason so I hope others can replicate it also. Under $3900 if I factor in 2% off on cash backs/rebates! haha.

FWIW, I also live somewhat near a Micro Center. The top choices I've identified are Legion > PowerSpec > Omen.

But here's a picture just on the 5090 CARD itself where Legion's card is much much better - cosmetically with the real nice RGBs where Omen 5090 is rather plain.
In the pic, you will also see that 2nd NVME slot in the Legion visible right above the GPU so you can add the 2nd one easily.
In Omen, the first Nvme is visible, the 2nd one is under the GPU. I find that to be annoying since I was gonna add a 2nd NVME. I rather have the first one be under since I won't touch it. Minor issues though.
I have some preferences on the case, will find that thread and edit and post... I think I do like Omen's case design (lol since this was the biggest issue about cooling but I haven't run into cooling issues - I do think my legion exhales hotter air out the back. The back metal is actually hot to the touch.
General consensus by Sickdeals but not many have the Omen in their hands to try it (I think I counted 2 people).
- HP Omen 45L is hated by many because of Gamernexus, everyone piles it on it but that was an old review about a year ago so take it for what it is worth.
- People do like Lenovo build quality, I think it's about the same to me with 3 months of experience. The grey metallic looks is nice. I still think I prefer jet black Omen design.
- I like HP's top mounted radiator and it does not give off heat like Legion top (exposed right into the case too. I do hate this. Debris can get right in from the top of Legion. Some people hate Omen's radiator.
- HP case has a glass front, I prefer it, Legion is just open plastic feeling mesh right to the fan. Is it better for air flow, maybe, but if I'm not blowing air from the front-- not sure if matters. HP sucks in air from the side of the glass.
- HP side glass easier to take out vs. 2 screws on Legion. Is it minor? Yes. If talking design, HP is much better on side glass.
HP case is taller by about 2'5 inch due to that extra radiator setup.
I read in some recent HP reviews that the mother board is standard but Idk, I don't plan to swap boards to know. I might swap the CPU and put in a 9950X3D out of a cheap case and 1000w PSU machine.
HP AIO CPU Cooler has CPU and GPU temp readings, Legion is just "Legion" as you can see in the pic.
So far, my off the head comments are about the design. HP just looks better overall but I didn't compare the actual motherboard etc since I am not even sure what board they each use.
I never tried PowerSpec - but to me they are all the same since I won't be swapping or upgrading PCs over time so being able to get in later to change motherboard.. or stuff like that means nothing to me. Generally people like true custom built with zero proprietary parts. Not a factor for me since I am just after the 5090.
Didn't get my hands on a SkyTech as prices have not aligned for me to jump in for one yet to have experience with it.
Warranty - 3 years onsite for Legion was cheaper. BUT BUT HP offered me 3 years, it's at a higher price but they said if I never have an issue and never call them, they will refund the full warranty cost. Make no sense. It's like an "insurance" and if you never had a problem then they refund the warranty cost.

They also have some weird special deal where if you PAID for Warranty, and do NOT actually get your machine service, you get the warranty money back?? ? Make no sense but I didn't buy it anyway.
