Great controller for the extra buttons on the back. 8bitdo hardware is decent quality too, not like PowerA or PDP junk. They have an app on the Xbox as well as PC and mobile for making profiles and adjustments — but only the PC app allows you to update the firmware, which can become an issue. Thankfully you don't have to do it often.

Also, I tried viewing the link on a private browser (where I wasn't signed in to Prime) and the coupon looks like it should still apply for non-subscribers, but you'll need to pay shipping, ofc. Oh, and the coupon works on the Pink version too, just not the black.

I got this from woot in black recently. Works well, only one glitch pre firmware update. So far it seems nice and worth it. I haven't really used the customized buttons, I just use them as default.

only downside is you need to download 3rd party software to set the profiles to use the custom buttons on the back.. the powerA controllers let you change the buttons on the fly

8bitdo does make a Bluetooth version, which is actually pretty good. However, it's triple the price, but you get hall effect joysticks which are supposed to resist stick drift. Other than original Microsoft controllers, these are good value for the money, despite being wired. I have a few of these laying around since my kids beat up their controllers pretty good on the daily, so having cheap and decent backups on hand is warranted in my household.

Still use a wired 360 controller from 2007 or so. Works well with emulators and roms. Worth upgrading it to a more updated controller?

Wish 8bitdo would sell a mobile phone mount for this controller. They sell them for the SNES controller, heck even for Xbox controllers, but not for their own ultimate controller models...absurd.
