Now, world building, story, content, etc it cannot be beat. But the actual gameplay & combat felt like a PS1 - PS2 level jank. Honestly as much money as they have made from rereleases I cannot believe Bethesda has not released a (optional) gameplay revamp or add major quality of life improvements like the Witcher 3 group did. All the work is there already on the PC in form of mods. Just bundle that together like W3 or I believe Bethesda is currently doing with Fallout 4. I'd rather a modern playing game over paying for lipstick on a big graphics improvements.*
I've never played the Anniversary edition but I think all of the improvements are to visuals. If you were playing in handheld mode it might not even be noticeable (might be...who knows).
*Clearly I am in the minority in this opinion based on reviews and fanbase.

$30 is a solid price for it on Switch, it's only been cheaper than that once: https://www.dekudeals.c
No opinion on the Anniversary edition

For $30, it's hard for me to say yes. I loved it and have hundreds of hours played on pc thanks to modding and such. But selling a 15 year old single player game that is still only half-off seems petty.
